I recently graduated summa cum laude from the industrial and interaction design program at Syracuse University, where I spent my time focusing on experience design for digital and physical products. I was born in Beijing and the experience of moving across the globe has made me think more deeply about the relationship individuals have with their products and the sentimental value they hold. As a designer, I want to make sure my designs survive each move by connecting with the user on an emotional level. My drive stems from my curiosity for possibility. I have always seen the world and wondered “what’s next ?”. Personally, “it’s always been that way” is not a reason to stop. Throughout my academic career, I have done both freelances and gained experience through a few corporations. With the skills I was able to put into practice during these opportunities, I was able to work with first-hand customer feedback, which has greatly improved my understanding of user-centric design. I’m eager to further my skills and work with people from diverse backgrounds to create memorable designs for the future.
